Our goal is simple: every recipe should work in a normal home kitchen, and every fact should be accurate. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Accuracy
- Food safety: internal temperatures, storage times and reheating guidance follow USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service and FoodSafety.gov guidance, and we link the source on each recipe.
- Measurements: we list US measurements and metric conversions. Weight conversions are ingredient-specific — we never assume every cup weighs the same.
- Times: total time includes chilling, resting and rising, not just active cooking.
- Nutrition: we only publish nutrition facts calculated with a named database or tool, and we state which one. We do not estimate nutrition by guesswork.
Photos
We aim to show photos of the actual dish made from the recipe. When a photo is illustrative — for example an AI-generated image — the caption says so.
Reviews and ratings
Star ratings come only from real reader reviews, which we moderate for spam and abuse but not for opinion. We never add ratings ourselves and never show a rating without the reviews behind it.
Advertising and affiliates
Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence over our recipes or recommendations. See our affiliate disclosure.
Updates and corrections
We review recipes regularly and show the "Updated" date on each one. If you spot an error, please contact us — we fix confirmed errors promptly and note meaningful changes.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools for tasks like drafting, proofreading or creating illustrative images. A person on our team reviews everything before it is published, and safety-critical facts are checked against primary sources.
